About Tim Sopinski

I’m Tim Sopinski, founding attorney at Sopinski Law. Since 1997, I’ve focused my career on defending people across Nebraska in cases ranging from first-offense DUIs to serious felonies. Earlier in my career, I worked as both a public defender and a prosecutor, which gave me valuable insight into how cases are built and where their weaknesses lie.

Over the years, I’ve handled thousands of criminal cases and built a reputation for preparation, strategic thinking, and straightforward advice. My role is to give you the information and options you need to make the best decisions for your situation and to stand with you every step of the way.

Here’s how I work with clients:

  1. We start with a conversation. You share what’s going on, and I’ll ask questions to understand the full picture.
  2. We make a plan. I explain your options, the risks, and the strategy I recommend.
  3. We move forward together. I take care of the legal strategy so you can focus on your life and your future.

Clients often tell me they appreciate my straightforward approach, my willingness to explain things in plain language, and my ability to anticipate challenges before they arise. Whether I’m defending your rights in court or crafting a plan to safeguard your family’s future, my goal is the same: to help you feel informed, supported, and in control.
